A knock on the door
“When I think of the human mind, I always imagine a house. On the ground floor, we eat, and watch TV; on the second floor, there is the bedroom; then there is the basement. That is a special place. Usually, it’s dark. There is a door. It’s a secret door. You don’t open it in usual situations. but at a certain point, you find how to open the door, and you can enter the darkness. But it’s dangerous. As a writer, I can open that secret door, and I can introduce you to this darkness. I think that’s the power of the story, the power of the narrative. If I am a good author, it’s safe if you come in with me. What I write is the introduction to that darkness, to that secret place.”

Scary aber schön. Ich glaube ich würde trotzdem lieber nach dem Lichtschalter im Keller suchen.
