Seit einigen Tagen gibt es einen riesigen Medienhype um einen neuen Burger bei Hungry Jacks (Australischer Brand-Name für Burger King). Der Burger heißt Quad Stack und besteht aus 4 Lagen Fleisch, 4 Lagen Käse, Bacon und BBQ Sauce. Ganz nach dem Motto “Gemüse was ist das? “hat man auf Schnick Schnack wie Salat, Gürkchen oder gar Zwiebeln erst ganz verzichtet.
Der Medienhype um diesen Burger ist wie gesagt enorm. Nicht ein Tag vergeht, an dem ich nicht entweder in der Zeitung oder den Nachrichten davon höre, wie ungesund dieser Burger doch sei und welche Gefahr er für uns und unsere Kinder darstellt. Mit etwa 60 Gramm Fett und ca. 2000 kcal kann ich mir gut vorstellen, dass es weitaus gesündere Alternativen gäbe. Und wären die Medien nicht so versessen darauf uns vor diesem Burger zu warnen, hätte ich wohl
a) nie davon gehört und
b) auch nie den Wunsch verspürt etwas derartig abartiges zu essen.
Die Melbourner Twitterwelt hat den Burger, den Death-Burger genannt und es entstehen Wettkämpfe, wer die meisten davon essen kann. Bei 4 Death Burgern liegt bislang der Rekord!!!
Unter dem Vorwand “kann man ja hinterher drüber bloggen”, gab ich mich heute auch dem Verlangen hin und testete den Death-Burger. *grins*
Damit ihr eine Vorstellung davon habt wovon ich rede… So soll er aussehen! (der mit dem Pfeil)
Und so sah er dann wirklich aus:
Ein kleiner Unterschied nicht wahr?! *grins* Doch die Menge an Fleisch, fett und Käse blieb die gleiche.
Und selbst angegessen wurde die Menge Fleisch nicht weniger.
Er schmeckte soweit ganz gut, ja war sogar richtig lecker! Aber bereits nach 2 Bissen hätte ich eigentlich genug gehabt. Zum Glück waren Pommes dabei, die neutralisierten den Geschmack *lach*.
Doch nun zur alles umfassenden Frage: Wie fühle ich mich?
KRANK! Ja wirklich mir ist schlecht. Hundeelendigschlecht!!!! Allein schon der Blick auf diese Bilder lässt einen gewissen Ekel in mir aufkommen. Und ich frage mich allen Ernstes, wie man 4 Stück davon essen kann?! Brrrrrrr…. So schnell gibt es für mich kein Fast Food mehr!!!!
Sagt mal… gibt es den Burger auch in Deutschland bei Burger King?

Ab und zu mal einen Burger, das geht schon. Dein Death Burger erinnert mich an eine Fast Food Kette, die hierzulande ihr Unwesen treibt. In deren Werbespot sitzen ein Mann und eine Frau im Restaurant, sie isst einen Salat und fragt ihn ob er mal probieren moechte. Er verneint und meint er sei ein Meatetarian, dass sei his personal Choice and nothing else. Als naechstes beisst er in einen aehnlich grossen Burger.

ich steh dann doch mehr auf die chicken-sachen bei den fast food ketten. das wär sicher ne super herausforderung für meinen bruder geworden, der ist für solch dinge immer zu haben.

Dieses Ding sieht wahrlich auf dem Bild wirklich appetitlich aus. Es ist mir ein Rätsel, wie sich Menschen hauptsächlich von diesem Zeug ernähren können. Soll ja genug Leute geben, die so was täglich zumindest aber mehrmals die Woche in sich stopfen.
Mit treibt es alle 2-3 Monate mal dann hauptsächlich wegen Pommes in diese Buden. Wenn dann ein Burger dran glauben muss, ich ist mir danach fast immer schlecht. Der Kram ist einfach widerlich, irgendwie.

Wenn man um halb fünf in der Früh vollkommen besoffen nach Hause geschlichen kommt, quatschen einem immer so komische Typen mit grossen Taschen an. “Hey, brauchst du vielleicht einen burger, ganz heisser Stoff!”

Davon abgesehen finde ich den Fastfood-Fraß ab und an mal sehr lecker und auch der Junior darf sich hin und wieder nen Burger gönnen. Denn: Was man sich komplett untersagt, wird umso interessanter.
