Seit dem 1.September ist hier zwar offiziell Frühling, doch es war bislang noch immer ein wenig frisch. Bis gestern!
Gestern war es seit langem zum ersten Mal wieder so warm, dass man in Melbourne mit kurzen Hosen, Shirt und Thongs (FlipFlops) durch die Stadt tigern konnte. Herrlich, was habe ich das genossen sag ich euch.
Es waren etwa 23 Grad, die Sonne lachte und es war angenehm war.
Nachmittags ging ich dann zu einer Housewarming Party. (macht man hier, wenn man in eine neue Wohnung/Haus zieht) A. und M. (zwei Freunde von mir) haben vor kurzem ein kleines Häuschen in einem Vorort gemietet, der dennoch sehr zentral zur Stadt gelegen ist und dies war das erste Mal, dass ich ihr Haus sah.
Bereits als ich in die Straße kam, war ich begeistert. Lauter kleine Häuschen, meist im viktorianischen Stil, mit kleinen Vorgärten. Viele Lavendelbüsche, Buchs und kleine wilde Sträucher und überall der Duft nach Frühling. Ja, in solchen Momenten kommt das Landkind in mir wieder hervor und wünscht sich nichts sehnlicher, als auch in dieser Gegend zu wohnen.
Das Haus meiner Bekannten war dann auch von innen ein absoluter Hit. Viel Platz, geräumig, hell…traumhaft. Und es hat sogar einen kleinen Backyard!!! Doch das ist noch nicht alles!!! Denn im Backyard ist ein kleines Baumhaus!!!! So richtig mit Leiter zum hochklettern! Das gäbe ein klasse Büro für mich ab, dachte ich. 
Doch nachdem mir bestätigt wurde, dass man hier auch durchaus auf Spinnen und Kakerlaken treffen kann, schwand meine Lust in ein kleines Häuschen mit Garten zu ziehen. Da lobe ich mir doch mein Apartment im 4 Stock, mit relativ wenig Grün um mich herum. So bleibe ich wenigstens von den ekelhaften australischen Spinnen verschont.
*ürgs* spinnen… das wäre für mich auch ein grund in den vierten stock oder sogar noch höher zu ziehen.
