Es ist circa acht Jahre her, dass ich an meinem damaligen Schreibtisch saß und im Hintergrund mein kleines grünes Elsa Modem zwitschernd und zirpend versuchte, eine Verbindung ins Internet herzustellen. Was soll ich sagen, mein Modem schaffte die Glanzleistung auch meist sehr erfolgreich. Mein damaliger Internetprovider und gleichzeitiger Arbeitgeber (der mit den drei großen Buchstaben) dagegen weniger.
Hatte man sich endlich erfolgreich eingewählt, konnte man sich bequem eine Tasse Kaffee holen gehen, während sich die Seiten langsam aufbauten.
Acht Jahre später und ich fühle mich in jene Zeiten zurück versetzt.
Natürlich knattert kein kleines Modem mehr munter neben mir her. Dafür knattert Fudge vor Frust und Ärger, über die Internetgeschwindigkeit des elterlichen Hauses.
Die letzen beiden Tage war es nicht so wichtig, doch langsam müsste ich mal wieder mit der Arbeit anfangen und dafür brauche ich eben Internet. * Nicht dass ihr glaubt, ich sei soooo süchtig, dass ich gar nicht ohne WWW leben kann ;0) *
Doch ich habe eine kleine Routine entwickelt, die mir meine Wartezeiten etwas versüßt.
Während sich langsam, Stückchen für Stückchen, die Seiten aufbauen *sofern sie es tun!*, trinke ich gemütlich an meinem Kaffee, schaue MTV Videos und pelle eine Mandarine oder futtere ein Plätzchen.
Und während ich das hier schrieb, hat sich gerade iGoogle aufgebaut und meine Mails sind alle in meinem Thunderbird angekommen. Während ich nun Mails beantworte, versuche ich mal Amazon zu laden. Wünscht mir Glück!
