In letzter Zeit bemerke ich immer öfter, dass Blogger einen Passwortschutz einbauen, so dass man nicht mehr mitlesen darf. Es sei denn man gehört zum erlauchten Personenkreis derer, die den magischen Passwortschlüssel erhalten.
Nun frage ich mich nach dem Sinn des Ganzen…
Warum fing ich an zu bloggen? Zum einen, weil ich viel über das Thema hörte und ich mich in die neue Technik einarbeiten wollte. Weil es etwas ganz Neues war und weil ich früher bereits ähnliches tat, als es noch kein Internet gab. Nur war es damals in Papierform und nannte sich Pseudomagazin. Man lernt eine Menge Leute kennen, die man sicherlich normaler Weise nie ansprechen würde. Aus Vorurteilen, aus Gedankenlosigkeit, oder weil man denkt, man hat sicherlich keine gemeinsamen Interessen.
Zum anderen finde ich Infoblogs über Städte, oder zu bestimmten Themen, oder von Menschen die im Ausland leben sehr informativ. Wer bloggt, geht das Risiko ein kommentiert zu werden. Dass man dabei nicht immer einer Meinung ist, dürfte jedem klar sein. Und wer Privates bloggt, dem bleibt es selbst überlassen was er von sich selbst berichten will. Es wird ja niemand dazu gezwungen.
Ausgesprochen albern hingegen finde ich es, Blogs mit einem Passwortschutz zu versehen. Besonders dann, wenn man weiterhin bei anderen, die nicht zum erlauchten Kreis der Passwortschlüsselbesitzer gehören, reinschaut und sich informiert.
Wer ein Tagebuch schreiben will und über ganz private Dinge schreiben will, der sollte sich einen Block kaufen und schreiben. Doch ein PW-Blog ist nur die Angst vor Kommentaren. Solche Leute sollten es lieber bleiben lassen.
Wer anderer Meinung ist, darf hier gerne kommentieren. Man braucht kein Passwort, man muss nur eine kleine Rechenaufgabe lösen und mit der eMail Adresse evtl. bekanntgeben wer man ist. 
Man könnte ja sonst ein Vertreter der Spamkunst sein.

Und natürlich muss ich meinen Senf mal dazugeben.
Ich habe meinen Blog selbst schon hinter einem Passwort versteckt gehabt, aus verschiedenen Gründen. Beim letzten Mal lag es daran, dass ich etwas aufschreiben musste, was nicht jeder lesen sollte. War aber auch nur vorübegehend. Das Passwort auf dem alten Blog war darauf zurückzuführen, dass es ein paar sehr unschöne Kommentare gab. Generell muss man als Blogger mit sowas rechnen, und generell habe ich mit dummen Kommentaren auch kein Problem. Die werden gelöscht und fertig. Allerdings habe ich ernsthafte Probleme damit, wenn jemand in meinem Blog Dinge liest, die ihm nicht passen und dann offenbar ganze Heerscharen an Sympathisanten aktiviert, die alle durch den Blog rennen und ihn mit Beleidigungen vollkommentieren. Während der ursprüngliche Leser einfach den Mund hält.
Das ist etwas, das ich albern finde. Nun ja… darum ist der alte Blog inzwischen ja auch gelöscht. Und mittlerweile bin ich auch wieder an einem Punkt angelangt, wo es mir absolut egal ist, ob jemand meinen Blog liest & sich das Maul drüber zerreisst oder nicht.
Erst mal auf dem Gespenst rumhacke das mir nich mal ne Mail schickt *nöl*
Und nun allgemein es gibt sicher einzelne Sachen die man vorerst mit einem PW schützen will, sei es schwebende Verfahren oder weil man es einfach für sich niederschreiben will um dann später zu sagen ok ihr alle könnt es lesen.
Ich werde mein Blog nie mit einem PW versehen außer es ist ein rätsel das zu einer bestimmten Zeit sichtbar werden soll

Ich kann mir vorstellen, dass manche Personen einfach nur für den engsten Freundeskreis schreiben weil sie vielleicht weit auseinander wohnen, sich aber trotzdem auf dem Laufenden halten wollen.
Ich selbst würde meinen Blog allerdings nie mit einem Passwort versperren. Was ich nicht will, dass es gelesen wird, schreibe ich nicht, da stimme ich mit ela überein.
Ich gebe euch allen vollkommen Recht. Es gibt durchaus Gelegenheiten, wo es angebracht ist ein PW zu haben. Bestes Beispiel hierfür finde ich z.B. das von azahar.
Allerdings stimme ich vollkommen mit ela überein, wenn sie sagt: …”wenn ich nicht will, dass alle es lesen dann schreib ich und veröffentliche nich”
So einfach sehe ich es.
Auch Claude sollte sich wegen der 2 Tage PW Schutz keine Gedanken machen, ich meinte nicht dich im speziellen damit.
Mir fiel nur auf, dass es in der letzten Zeit viele Blogs so machen und ich diese Entwicklung sehr schade finde. Sei es drum jedem das seine – war schon immer meine Devise.
