Gestern Abend… oder wenn ich auf die Uhr schaue, vorgestern – traf ich den Vietnamreisenden. Der Vietnamreisende ist was Technik, PC und sonstiges techn. Allerlei angeht stehts gut informiert und weiß meist Rat.
Ich berichtete ihm von meinem Problem, dass SL nicht auf meinem Schleppi läuft. Nach einer kurzen Analyse der Fehlermeldungen, kam der Vietnamreisende zu der Erkenntnis, dass ich einen neuen Treiber bräuchte.
Man nannte mir auch welchen und auch eine Alternative.
Noch in der selbenNacht begann ich mein Unterfangen. Zuerst im Netz nach dem Notwendigen suchen und dann installieren. Alles ganz easy und dann kann ich in SL, dachte ich mir. Pah! Zuerst wurde von mir verlangt eine .netfx oder wie auch immer zu installieren. Noch nie zvor gehört und auch die Wiki – Erläuterung dazu habe ich bereits wieder vergessen. Also das Ding gesucht, gestartet und dann… Zack die nächste Fehlermeldung… Es wurde noch etwas benötigt.
So ging es die ganze Nacht, bis ich zu müde war. War allerdings noch keinen Schritt weiter. Jeder der einen Rechner unvollendet lassen muss kann meine morgendliche Reaktion sicherlich verstehen, die daraufhin folgte. Ich wurde wach und der erste Griff ging zum Schleppi. 
Ich googelte mich durch Newsgroups und las mich schlau. Anscheinend musste vorher der alte Treiber deinstalliert werden, dann der neue drauf, aber nicht der den ich wollte. Denn nun las ich, dass der mit meiner Grafikkarte nicht funktioniert.
Long story short, es ging plötzlich gar nichts mehr. 
Und auch ein Standard VGA Treiber war nicht mehr aufzufinden.
Nach meinem nachmittaglichen Faschingsintermezzo setze ich mich wieder dran. Ganz cool bleiben dachte ich mir, war aber ziemlich besorgt. Doch Hallo, plötzlich lief es wunderbar.
Die Einstellungen stimmen zwar noch nicht ganz, ich sehe noch “verschwommen” aber jetzt läuft sogar SL auf meinem Laptop!
Was will man mehr?! So doof stelle ich mich scheinbar gar nicht an.
