Eine viertel Stunde brauchte gerade die Feuerwehr bis sie endlich hier war. So lange ging in diesem Haus nämlich der Feueralarm.
Es klingelt dann nicht nur extrem laut und ohrenbetäubend, sondern auch draußen auf der Straße! So hat wenigstens jeder etwas davon und kann in Panik verfallen.
Tut aber keiner!
Als ich den Feueralarm zum ersten Mal erlebte war es Sonntag und ich gerade unter der Dusche. Ich bin fast zu Tode erschrocken, denn es ist wirklich extrem laut. *Stellt euch vor ihr geht mit eurem Ohr ganz nah an ein Martinshorn ran, dann wisst ihr was ich meine* Ich packte beim ersten Mal schnell das Wichtigste zusammen. Laptop, Reisepass, Geld, meine Lieblingsschuhe und meine schönste Handtasche. Dann eilte ich flix die Treppen hinunter, denn den Aufzug soll man ja nicht benutzen in einem Brandfall und stand dann in Joggingklamotten und mit nassen Haaren auf der Straße…. und war so ziemlich alleine mit meiner Aktion!
Es kümmerte keinen. Jeder blieb in seiner Wohnung. Die Feuerwehr kam, stellte den Alarm aus und ging wieder. That’s all!
Seitdem habe ich mindestens einmal die Woche besagte Ohrenschmerzen. Und auch ich laufe nicht mehr panisch die Treppen hinunter auf die Straße. Doch ich frage mich, woher ich wissen soll, wann es wirklich einmal brennt?
Immerhin habe ich jetzt einen festen Platz, wo wfichtige Dokumente liegen, damit ich die im Ernstfall, wenn ich denn einen erkenne, auch sofort zur Hand habe.
Mit solchen Sachen haben wir hier auf dem Land ja zum Glück (?) nichts zu tun….
Nachdem ich gestern übrigens so ungefähr 6 Stunden lang Eskimo Joe gehört habe (und das jetzt auch schon wieder tue), habe ich einem gewissen Lehrer 3 Lieder davon geschickt und dank seines Kommentares weiss ich auch wieder, an wen die Stimme mich erinnert. An Reamonn.

Aber das kenne ich (das mit dem ständigen Feueralarm), hing aber damals in Manchester damit zusammen, dass so gewisse Personen einfach nicht kochen konnten und regelmässig die Küche unter Rauch setzten.

@ azahar: Direkt über meinem Herd ist auch ein Feuermelder angebracht. Jedesmal wenn ich Fleisch mache geht das sch… Ding an. Ich habe keine Abzugshaube. Da hat jemand ganz clever mitgedacht bei der Planung. Aber das sind nur die Warnmelder für die Wohnungen. Die vom gesamten Haus, gehen nur an wenn irgendwo im Flur was brennt, nach Rauch riecht oder so. Nehme an, da hat irgendwo wer geraucht…

tja, das ist dann immer das problem im ernstfall, da schnallt dann nie jemand, dass es wirklich ernst ist… das ist ganz schön gefährlich! aber gut, dass du die wichtigsten sachen für einen solchen fall immer zusammen liegen hast und nicht die hello kitty vergessen
Unser Feueralarm geht immer dann an, wenn man duscht und dabei vergisst die Badtuer komplett zu schliessen. Offenbar reagiert das Ding auf Partikel in der Luft und dabei ist’s ihm egal ob’s Wasserdampf oder Russ ist. Man muss dann immer nackig und total nass raushuepfen und den doofen Knopf druecken bis das ohrenbetaeubende Geraeusch aufhoert. Ich hasse es….
Na das würde mir ja mächtig auf die Nerven gehen. Wozu um alles in der Welt probt man so oft einen Feueralarm?! Wie schon gesagt… wer nimmt denn das nachher noch ernst?!
*g* Ich würde auch versuchen, wenigstens meine Lieblingsjeans/taschen/schuhe/oberteile/bücher u.ä. zu greifen. Könnte sogar funktionieren, denn wir wohnen im Hochpaterre und ich muss nur alles aus dem Fenster schmeißen.
Aber ernsthaft: Ich hab mir mittlerweile auch so eine riesige Gummizugmappe angelegt, in der normalerweise – wenn ich nicht wieder alles rausgeräumt habe- die wichtigsten Unterlagen drin sind.
