Heute bin ich in Bloglaune (man hat es vielleicht schon registriert 
) und deswegen schreib ich endlich einmal das, was ich schon lange berichten wollte.
In den großen Einkaufszentren hier in Melbourne findet man meist Zoohandlungen (oder heißen die Tierhandlungen? )
Schon als Kind wurde ich davon magisch angelockt. In Deutschland von den Meerschweinchen und all den Kleintieren und den ganzen Kram und Zubehör, hier vorallem wegen der Hundekleidung!!! und der großen Glaskäfige. Ja mal liest richtig Glaskäfige. Um gleich die Aufmerksamkeit des Fussvolkes zu gewinnen, stehen sie am Eingang der Läden auf Augenhöhe. Es sind immer 4-5 Kätzchen drin und 2-3 kleine Welpen. Natürlich nicht gemischt!
Was mich dabei so aufregt sind nicht allein die Glaskäfige, die keinerlei Rückzugsmöglichkeiten bieten und stehts hell erleuchtet sind. Es sind auch die Leute drum herum. Wer zum Geier brachte denen bei, dass man ans Glas klopfen muss? Die armen Kätzchen und Welpen (die durchaus herzerwärmen sind) bekommen noch irgendwann einen Hörschaden. Bei mir klopft schließlich auch nicht permanent jemand ans Fenster. Und wenn, wäre ich nach kurzer Zeit wahrscheinlich wahnsinnig. Doch selbst ein strafendes Räuspern oder ein strenger Satz hält diese Leute nicht davon ab.
Die Frage ist natürlich auch, bei all den privaten Anbietern, weshalb kauft man eine gestörte Katze aus der Tierhandlung? Weshalb tun die das den Tieren an?
Ein ganz anderer Aspekt wurde mir neulich zugetragen. Weshalb überhaupt Katzen inAustralien. Katzen sind hier nicht heimisch, sie wurden ins Land gebracht. Vögel und andere Kleintiere sind diese “Katzengefahr” nicht gewohnt. Das Resultat – viele der hier heimischen Vogelrassen gibt es nicht mehr oder sind in Gefahr. Einige Katzenbesitzer lassen wohl ihre Katze nur an der Leine raus oder halten sie deswegen ausschließlich im Haus. Also eine nicht ganz von der Hand zu weisende Frage. Doch dann stellt sich mir wiederum die Frage, waren Katzen in Europa heimisch? Und wenn nicht, ist es nicht vielleicht so, dass die Natur einem Wandel unterworfen werden muss, oder sich selbst unterwirft?
Ich komme nicht weiter in meinem Denken….
Hört sich ja schlimm an. Das müßte eigentlich verboten werden. Ich mag nicht, wenn Tiere gequält werden.
Wir Menschen ruinieren uns selbst u. die Welt noch mit dazu.
Katzen sind in Europa heimisch. Wildkatze. Mit den Schiffen ist viel eingeschleppt worden, was nicht in die jeweiligen Länder gehört. Früher hatten Schiffe immer Katzen wegen der Mäuse und Ratten mit an Bord. so sind sie dann auch in Australien gelandet. Ich glaube aber nicht, das es die Australischen Katzen schaffen Vögel komplett auszurotten. Das ist auch nicht gerade das Hauptnahrungsmittel von Katzen
Eine Katze an der Leine zu lassen ist auch Quälerei. Die Australier haben es leider nicht so mit dem Tierschutz. Besonders PETA berichtet immer wieder über die Qualen der Tiere dort. Besonders hart trifft es die Schafe. Die werden so richtig gequält 
Die Natur wandelt sich ständig, wir müssen uns dem unterwerfen. Hat nur noch keiner gemerkt 
Würd mich übriens freuen, wenn du dich mal meldest. Ich hab inzwischen auch Skype…..
Das gibt es hier in Spanien auch. Ich meine Hunde und Katzen in Glaskäfigen. Wenigstens sind an den meisten Schilder so von wegen “Bitte nicht ans Glas klopfen” angebracht, oder die Käfige sind durch eine Barriere von den Gaffern getrennt. Leid tun mir die Tierchen trotzdem und ich stimme dir vollkommen zu: Die meisten von denen tragen sicher einen kleinen Dachschaden davon und so ein Tier würde ich mir niemals kaufen.
Hab seit Neuestem auch eine Katze. Die ahnt gar nicht, wie gut sie es hat – zum Dank versucht sie auf meinen Kopf zu klettern oder sich mir ins Gesicht zu setzen, das Biest.
Wegen Frühaufstehen: sind eben manchmal Termine, Seminar hier, Kundenbesuch da, bzw. wenn’s ans Fotografieren geht, das Licht ist morgens einfach besser.
@schneegespenst: Wieso? Was machen die mit den Schafen? Ich seh die nur immer faul auf ihren Wiesen herum stehen. (also die Schafe!!)

@azahar: Hier sind nur Schilder dran mit dem Preis und der Rasse :o( Zumindest lassen die Angestellten die kleinen ab und an mal raus und an der Leine herum laufen.
@netty: Da gebe ich dir Recht… doch was will man tun, außer selbst darauf zu achten es nicht zu tun und andere davon zu überzeugen?
Das kann ich dir sagen. Die Australier führend Lebendexporte durch. Nach Europa!!!! In die ganze Welt!!! Das ist Qual pur für die Tiere. die Tiere werden außerdem leider sehr oft verstümmelt. So werden Ihnen zum Beispiel die Sehnen durchgeschnitten, damit sie sich nicht mehr bewegen können und schön still halten während sie auf eine Odysee durch die Welt gehen, meist mit eher wenig bis keinem Futter geschweige den Wasser. Schafe sind sehr sensible und, man glaubt es nicht, intelligent Tiere. Die leiden ohne Ende. Alle Tierschutverbände und Organisationen gehen seit Jahren dagegen vor. Aber es ist einfach nichts zu erreichen. Macht mit echt wütend sowas!
