Eines der beiden Konzerte in Japan soll in Kyoto stattfinden, wo 1997 das nach der Stadt benannte Klimaschutz-Protokoll unterzeichnet wurde. Der Emmy-Preisträger Wall fungiert, wie schon im Jahr 2005 bei den Live 8-Veranstaltungen, mit seiner Firma Control Room als Produzent.
