Freundin Schatzi will ein wenig Outbackfeeling und ich als Touriguide bin natürlich auch darin erprobt.
Was liegt nah an Melbourne und ist mit dem Auto zu erreichen und auch bezahlbar?….Broken Hill!
In Broken Hill war ich bereits 2005, von daher weiß ich dass eine 11 Stunden Fahrt auf mich zu kommt. Wir müssen sehr früh los, so gegen 3 Uhr heute Nacht, da man das letzte Stück über eine Outbackstrasse muss. Und da diese bei Dunkelheit gefährlich sein kann, muss man bei Tageslicht durch und somit früh los.
Weshalb die Strasse dann gefährlich ist? Nein nicht wegen der Backpacker-Mörder und auch nicht wegen der wilden Tiere, die einen fressen!!! Nein, ganz einfach wegen der Kängaroos. Ruck Zuck hüpft eines vors Auto bei Nacht und Zack hat man einen Unfall. Befährt man die Strasse bei Tageslicht sieht man auch die eine oder andere Leiche am Strassenrand. Hört sich jetzt wild an, aber ist Alltag im Outback.
Mir graut es ein wenig vor der Fahrt. Die Höchstgeschwindigkeit hier im Land ist 100 km/h auf dem Freeway *gähn*
Auf Landstrassen wenn man Glück hat 80 km/h. Bei 11 Stunden Fahrt kann das sehr zäh sein. Das heißt, es gilt unbedingt gute Musik mitzunehmen!!! Aber es ist auch eine schöne Fahrt und man kann eine Menge guter Bilder machen.
Und da Irgendlink mich auf eine Idee brachte, werde ich ganz viele Strassenschilder fotografieren.
So und nun wecke ich mal den Verursacher der langen Autofahrt. Sonst verschläft sie noch den ganzen Tag. Ich will ihr heute noch das alte Gefängnis von Melbourne, das Old Melbourne Gaol zeigen und die State Library of Victoria. Bibliotheken anschauen hört sich langweilig an, aber diese hier ist total genial und sollte man sich echt anschauen. Sie ist riesig und alt und wunderschön und hat sogar noch echte Ledersessel in denen man es sich gemütlich machen kann. Und man kann sich, wie ich es tat, darin sogar verlaufen. 
So und nun auf in den Dienstag! Allen noch eine schöne Woche. Ich werde am WE erst wieder berichten, da ich den Schleppi nicht mitnehme. Gäbe wohl eh keinen Internetanschluss für mich
