Und mitten im CBD, nämlich im Intercontinental, ist seit heute Abend auch Goerge W. Bush, um dem Treffen beizuwohnen.
Der geneigte Leser wird sich nun schon denken, worauf ich hinaus will. Genau! Seit Wochen werden Securitypläne geschmiedet, die Polizei, das CIA, das Militär – alle trainieren sie für diesen Anlass. Und wo? Genau, im CBD!!!
Diese Woche ist für alle die in der Stadtmitte arbeiten Urlaub angesagt. Denn es fahren aus Sicherheitsgründen keine Züge, keine Busse und nur mit Genehmigung kommt man in den Central Business District hinein. Selbst die Geschäfte haben in dieser Woche in der Innenstadt geschlossen. Wie ich vorhin in den Nachrichten hörte, betrifft dies allerdings auch einige Vororte von Sydney.

@ Netty: Ich habe mich mal schlau gemacht. Der Freitag ist offiziell zum Feiertag gemacht worden. Damit hat sich für diesen Tag das mit dem Urlaub erledigt. Jetzt kommt aber das Problem mit den restlichen Tagen. Denn der Bush wollte ursprünglich erst Donnerstag Abend kommen. Dann wäre alles kein Problem gewesen. Aber er hat seine Pläne kurzfristig geändert und kam bereits am Dienstag Abend an. Damit hat er den ganzen Plan auf den Kopf gestellt. Die Leute musste man also in die Stadt hinein lassen, damit sie zur Arbeit können. Kannst dir aber vorstellen, welche Sicherheitsmaßnahmen getroffen werden. Denke mal, dass man da automatisch lieber Urlaub nimmt
