Die Post von meinen Deutschen Konten und Kreditkarten geht schon seit einigen Jahren an die Adresse meiner Eltern. Das war einfach praktischer, als bei allen Bankinstituten einen Postversand nach Australien zu beantragen.
Nun war ich am Wochenende bei meinen Eltern und Mutter Fudge hatte auch in der Tat einen Brief für mich von meinem Kreditkarteninstitut. Etwas in Eile, legte ich ihn auf den Tisch und habe ihn danach schlichtweg vergessen. Doch als ich eben wieder in Hamburg ankam, fiel mir ein, dass ich ja eine neue PIN beantragt hatte. Diese sollte auf dem Postweg kommen.
Also rief ich schnell Mama Fudge an und bat sie, mir doch bitte den Brief vorzulesen. Doch statt einer PIN war es eine Nachricht, dass meine Karte aus Sicherheitsgründen wegen Betrugsverdacht gesperrt worden wäre. Ich solle mich doch bitte umgehend melden… Der Brief war vom 08.01.09.
Also fix angerufen, mein Sprüchlein aufgesagt und lauschte mit immer größer werdenden Ohren.
Scheinbar wurde am 08.01. versucht eine Summe von etwa 110 £ von meiner Kreditkarte abzubuchen. Das Unternehmen war meinem Kreditkarteninstitut verdächtigt und sie sperrten die Karte sofort. Danach wurde noch mehrfach versucht einiges an £ abzubuchen von anderen Unternehmen (z.B. Playdotcom).
Ich konnte mich nicht erinnern, jemals bei diesen Unternehmen gekauft zu haben… Und man sagte mir, die Karte sei wohl kopiert und missbraucht worden. Mir ist kein Schaden entstanden und ich bekomme eine neue Karte diese Woche zugeschickt…
ABER….
Als ich vorhin dann so nachdachte, fiel mir ein dass ich neulich tatsächlich bei einem englischen Shop online bestellt habe. Eine Sammelbestellung für Kollegen. Und die Bestellung wurde storniert, weil angeblich die Artikel ausverkauft seien. Und ich habe tatsächlich neulich versucht bei Playdotcom zu bestellen, aber das System gab mir eine Fehlermeldung und als ich den Bestellbutton drückte, stürzte mein Browser ab. (Danach hatte ich ein Meeting und die Bestellung vergessen *g*)
Also doch kein Betrug????
Aber weshalb sperrt mein Kreditkartenunternehmen die Karte, bei einem so “geringen” Betrag? Sind manche Firmen/Online-Shops etwa auf einer Art Index und als “gefährlich” eingestuft? Ich blicks nicht! Das ist mir noch nie beim Online-Shopping passiert.
Aber schön zu sehen, dass die Kartenunternehmen so schnell reagieren.
Nun ich warte dann mal ab, bis ich diese Woche meine neue Karte habe und recherchiere mal im Internet ob es vergleichbare Fälle gibt. Habt ihr schon mal von einem ähnlichen Fall gehört? Irgendwie finde ich das alles sehr suspekt… Achja, der Shop bei dem ich bestellt hatte war Republic.co.uk, habt ihr mit dem Erfahrungen gemacht und schon mal dort bestellt???
