Ich höre viel Musik, oft und vor allem solche, die man oftmals im Laden nur schwer bekommt. Die Folge davon: Ich “organisiere” mir meine Musik auf alternativen Wegen. Sei es durch Freunde, Bekannte oder auch das Internet (hier gehe ich nicht näher drauf ein!).
Meist gefällt mir, was ich höre und ich will danach die ganze CD und begebe mich so lange auf die Suche, bis ich sie wirklich irgendwann auch in den Händen halten kann; sprich, sie als CD kaufen kann. Dies mache ich mit etwa 70 – 80% der Musik, die ich mir “besorge”. Die restlichen 30 – 20% finde ich meist nach einer Weile sowieso nicht mehr gut und verbanne sie dann auch komplett von meiner Festplatte. Also werde ich diese Titel auch nicht kaufen.
Doch neulich fand ich auf Youtube einen Song, den ich uuuuuuuuuuunbedingt haben wollte. “Postcards from Italy” von Beirut. Und da ich ihn unbedingt sofort haben wollte für ein Video, das ich gerade mache, kaufte ich ihn mir im Australischen iTunes Store.
Das war vor 3 Tagen!
Nun muss man wissen, dass die in iTunes gekaufte Musik nur als mp4 Format verfügbar ist. Doch als schlauer PC Nutzer hat man ja einige Konvertierungsprogramme auf dem Rechner und auch iTunes selbst bietet eine Konvertierung zu mp3 an.
Doch denkst du!
Ich kann nichts, aber auch gar nichts mit dem Song machen! Ich kann ihn nicht brennen, ich kann ihn nicht konvertieren… Nada! Und alles nur, weil iTunes einen DRM Schutz auf seine Musik packt, den man (ich) nicht zu umgehen weiß.
Aber Fudge wäre nicht Fudge, wenn ich nicht in den Tiefen des Internets eine superschnelle Lösung gefunden hätte! (Wie legal diese ist, ist fraglich das gebe ich zu!)
Meine Lösung für dieses Problem ist jedenfalls der N23Recorder. Ich verlinke an dieser Stelle mal nicht. Man weiß ja nie! Aber wer ihn googelt findet ihn sofort. Lest euch selbst durch was er kann. Ich finde ihn ganz nett.
Und sorry liebe Musikindustrie, aber warum zwingt ihr mich immer wieder abseits der legalen Wege zu gehen!? Das ist nun schon das zweite Mal. Neulich kaufte ich mir eine CD, die mein CD ROM Laufwerk nicht einmal erkannte, weil so ein widerlicher Kopierschutz drauf war. Wie soll ich denn bitte so meine Musik auf meinem Rechner hören?!
Ich glaube manchmal, die wollen mein Geld gar nicht! Aber jammern rum, als würden ihnen zehn Pferde auf dem Fuß stehen. Und die leidtragenden sind im Endeffekt die Künstler selbst. Scheiße sowas! (Sorry, aber ich ärgere mich gerade sehr!)
