Seit meinem letzten Blogupdate ist nun schon wieder einige Zeit ins Land gestrichen. Fast 4 Monate wenn ich das richtig sehe.
Grund genug Steve (meinem Blog) auch mal ein neues Design zu verpassen. Mir war heute so danach.
Es regnete heute den ganzen Tag no stop. Ein Sonntag, wie gemacht um einen kleinen Hangover zu pflegen – das Resultat eines Abends an dem ich endlich einmal wieder richtig ausgehen konnte. Doch ich beginne lieber einmal von vorne.
Mit einer Freundin zusammen starte ich ein neues Online-Mag. Klaus and Fritz.
Im Grunde geht es um all die netten Dinge, die man in Melbourne so unternehmen, sehen und erleben kann. Wir plaudern von unseren Erfahrungen, berichten von Bars, Cafes und Events die uns besonders gut gefallen. Stellen nette kleine Läden vor, die wir auf unseren Streiftouren durch die Stadt finden, usw.
Deswegen haben wir uns in der letzten Zeit öfters bei ihr getroffen um Design und Planung durchzugehen, Strategie zu besprechen, Content festzulegen… das Ãœbliche eben, wenn so etwas entsteht.
Freitag war ich deswegen wieder bei ihr und gegen Nachmittag bekam ich plötzlich große Schmerzen am Kiefer. Genauer gesagt an der rechten Seite. Dies hielt mich noch nicht davon ab, mit ihr nach getaner Arbeit einen After Work Drink einzunehmen, doch es wurde so schlimm, dass ich vorzeitig nach Hause bin.
Dort angekommen musste ich feststellen, dass mein Gesicht langsam aber stetig anschwoll. So langsam machte sich bei mir Panik breit und ich ging noch am selben Abend zum Arzt. Diagnose: Mumps.
Na super. Die Nacht war wenig angenehm und als ich Samstagmorgen aufwachte, sah ich noch schlimmer aus. Die Schwellung war weiter vorangeschritten. Am Abend hatte ich nochmals einen Termin bei meinem Arzt, der auf Grund meiner Blutwerte plötzlich gar nicht mehr so sicher war, dass ich die Mumps hatte und mich sofort in die Notaufnahme des Krankenhaus schickte.
Meine Panik wurde größer, aber Dr Google versicherte mir immer wieder, alle Symptome sind eindeutig Mumps resultierend. Der nette Emergency Arzt war zum Glück ebensolcher Meinung und so durfte ich dann auch in der gleichen Nacht wieder nach Hause.
Die folgenden Tage war ich somit krankheitsbedingt damit beschäftigt mich zu fragen, ob mein Gesicht jemals wieder normale Ausmaße annehmen würde. Seit einigen Tagen tut es dies auch zum Glück und ich fühle mich auch wieder recht gut.
Glücklicherweise ist mein Umfeld gegen Mumps geimpft, so dass ich mir hier keine Sorgen machen muss, dass sich jemand ansteckt oder angesteckt hat. Fragt sich woher ich es bekommen hatte. I blame Public Transport!
Nachdem ich also einige Zeit außer Gefecht gesetzt war, konnte ich Samstag (gestern) wieder auf die Piste gehen.
BBQ bei Freunden (im Regen), denn auch gestern schon, regnete es bereits den ganzen Tag. Das BBQ wurde zu einem etwas längeren und vom Regen abgesehen, auch zu einem feucht fröhlichen Event, welches dann in einer kleinen After Party bei anderen Freunden zu Hause endete. So gegen 4am war ich dann auch endlich zu Hause.
Dementsprechend slow lief der heutige Tag. Ich stand spät auf, ging frühstücken in Prahran, kurz Supermarkt shoppen und seitdem habe ich das Sofa nicht mehr verlassen. Hence, das neue Blogdesign.
Jetzt ist es auch schon wieder vier Minuten vor Mitternacht und Zeit die Schoten zu schließen. Ich habe einiges an Arbeit vor mir diese Woche und freue mich jetzt schon wieder auf mein nächstes Wochenende.
