Manchmal frage ich mich, wie man hier in Australien seine depressiven Phasen voll ausleben soll.
Ihr wisst schon, diese trüben Tage, an denen man sich am Liebsten auf sein Sofa verkrümelt, die Decke bis zum Kinn hochzieht, Schokolade und Gummibärchen in sich hineinstopft und die übelsten Songs hört, die es für solche Momente geben kann. Songs, die einen noch trauriger machen und mit denen du dich so richtig in Selbstmitleid baden kannst. Denn an solchen Tagen ist die ganze Welt schlecht!
Normaler Weise passt sich in Deutschland, wie durch magische Hand, das Wetter der eigenen Laune an. Es ist regnerisch, grau, trist, kalt und dunkel. Doch hier in Melbourne, weigert sich das Wetter depressive Phasen zu unterstützen.
Versucht einmal bei 38 Grad und strahlendem Sommerwetter in die entsprechende Stimmung zu kommen. Man kann sich nicht einmal in sein Bett verkrümeln und die Decke über den Kopf ziehen. Es ist zu heiß. Es ist auch zu heiß, um in der Wohnung Herz-Schmerz-Filme zu sehen. Ganz zu schweigen, dass dir die Schokolade unter den Fingern wegschmilzt.
Was also tun?!
Man muss aus dem Haus, ganz klar! Man wandert an Straßencafes vorbei, schaut in lachende, glückliche Gesichter. Das deprimiert dich dann weit mehr, als ein übler Song, denn dies hier ist Realität.
Man geht zum Strand und legt sich auf sein Handtuch in den Sand. Man ärgert sich über den Sand, der wegen der Sonnencreme an dir kleben bleibt. Daher beschließt du ins Wasser zu gehen. Im Wasser taucht dich die Welle unter. Du schluckst Wasser, hast Salzwasser im Auge und siehst nichts mehr.
Du wanderst durch den heißen Sand zurück zu deinem Handtuch, das du natürlich erst nach fünf Minuten findest. Dabei verbrennst du dir die Füße, weil der Sand so heiß ist.
Du kannst nicht richtig lesen, weil der Wind ständig an den Seiten in deinem Buch blättert und deine Sonnenbrille von der Sonnencreme verschmiert ist. Und zu allem Übel, wirft dir ein kleines Kind eine Schaufel Sand mit Algen über den Kopf.
Das alles ärgert dich so sehr, dass dir plötzlich die Absurdität deines Unterfangens bewusst wird und du lachen musst.
Ihr seht, es ist fast ein Ding der Unmöglichkeit in sein altbekanntes “Traurigkeitsmuster” zu verfallen. Es muss also etwas neues, sommertaugliches her, womit man seine Depri-Phase richtig ausleben kann.
Also, was schlagt ihr vor?! Alkohol scheidet aus!!! Ich bin kein großer Freund von Frust-trinken. Doch was kann man tun? Wer hat Ideen?
