Wann immer ich einen Song von ihm höre, egal welchen, muss ich an einen ehemaligen Professor von mir denken. Nicht nur, weil dieser ein großer Fan von Neil war, sondern weil er ihm extrem ähnlich sah. Das gleiche grau, blonde Haar und die selben lächerlichen Koteletten.
Mein ehemaliger Prof war (und ist sicher noch) ein fanatischer Musikliebhaber und verehrte die alten Helden… Tom Petty, Neil Young, Tom Waits, Bob Dylan und wie sie alle heißen mögen. Er war sogar so begeistert, dass er neben seinem Lehrauftrag und seinem Job noch für Lieberberg arbeitete, um bei entsprechenden Events Backstage sein zu können. Ein echter Groupie sozusagen. Er schrieb sogar mehr als ein Buch über seine Helden.
Das alleine machte diesen Prof schon kultig für mich. Doch auch die Tatsache, dass er, als einer der wenigen, dazu anregte selbständig zu denken und Lösungen outside the square zu suchen.
Dies hat mich sicherlich nicht geprägt, da ich schon immer eine Verfechterin solcher Ansätze war, doch es hat mich darin nur noch bestätigt. Zudem waren seine Vorlesungen eine echte Abwechslung zum sonstigen BWL Kram, dem ich mich unterzog.
Leider musste dieser Prof meine Uni nach einiger Zeit verlassen. Es kam nichts vergleichbares an seiner Stelle nach und so wurden Vorlesungen wieder zu dem was sie waren… zu Vorlesungen. Schade eigentlich, denn die letzten Semester habe ich nur noch zu Klausurzeiten an der Uni verbracht und ging kaum noch zu Vorlesungen.
Was ich mit all dem sagen will….
Es fällt mir, je älter ich werde, mehr und mehr auf, wie wenig Leute mit Herz und Seele bei ihrer Arbeit sind und das lieben, was sie tun. Worin liegt da der Sinn? Wir verbringen mehr als die Hälfte unseres Tages mit Arbeit, wieso also tun die meisten von uns etwas, das ihnen keinen Spaß macht? Und weshalb ändern sie nichts daran?
Merkwürdig oder? Und keine Angst ich empfehle nun keine schlauen Sprüche, wie: “Macht was daraus, ihr habt nur dieses Leben”. Quatsch… Ich weiß, wie schwer es ist auch nur kleine Steps in seinem Leben zu ändern. Aber komisch ist es schon… 
So, und nun leg ich mich ins Bett und höre noch ein wenig Musik. Gute Nacht!
(Keine Angst ich bin nicht melancholisch, nur extrem relaxt…. Dies war Fudge live, nachdem sie einige Sangria und drei Gin Tonic hatte! *lach*)
Ach ja, das kenne ich… Man hat so oft den Eindruck, dass viele Menschen ihre Arbeit nicht gerne machen. Und ich bin immer richtig gerührt, wenn jemand seine Arbeit liebt und man ihm das anmerkt. Ich finde es toll, wenn ein Mensch total begeistert von dem erzählen kann, was er so macht und wieviel Freude er daran hat. Und ich finde es auch bewundernswert, wenn jemand seinen Weg gefunden hat und auch konsequent geht. Ich weiß ja aus eigener Erfahrung, wie schwer sowas ist.

Ich glaub das liegt wohl daran, dass es sich sehr viele Menschen nicht aussuchen können. Kein vernünftiger Abschluss / Herkunft / falsche Wahl in jungen Jahren.
Keinen Chef zu haben ist für viele wahrscheinlich wohl der “Optimalzustand”. Aber ob jeder die Disziplin / Das Kapital aufbringt um dies auch zu realisieren?

@ Markus: Ich habe mir das ja nicht ausgesucht, weil ich es so irre klasse finde und schon immer machen wollte. Das war eher eine Notlösung…. Ach, ist kompliziert… *lach*.
Sagen wir es mal so, egal was ich arbeite, ich kann meistens irgendetwas Gutes daran finden. Ich glaube den ultimativen Job gibt es für mich nicht. Es gibt ein Kriterium, das allerdings gegeben sein muss: Es muss spannend bleiben. Ich muss dabei ständig etwas neues lernen können und die Arbeit dadurch nicht eintönig werden lassen. Sonst werde ich sehr schnell, sehr unzufrieden.
Es gab bis jetzt zwei mal in meinem Leben Jobs die ich echt gerne und mit Begeisterung gemacht habe. Ja ich konnte mich wirklich mit der Firma und dem Produkt identifizieren. Das war aber auch immer dem Arbeitgeber zu verdanken, der zu motivieren wußte.
Die zwei genannten Jobs waren für mich auch ein Griff in die große bunte Wundertüte. Die Zeiten haben sich leider geändert, man muß heute froh sein überhaupt einen Job zu haben, auch wenn einem dieses oder jenes daran nicht gefällt. Gerne wünsche ich mir die Zeit zurück wo ich wirklich mit wahrer Begeisterung zur Arbeit gegangen bin. Ändern kann man daran nichts, wie erwähnt gleicht es mehr einem Glücksspiel so eine Arbeit (und vor allem so einen Arbeitgeber) zu finden.
Und Dein damaliger Prof ist mir sowas von sympathisch. Ein Neil Young Anhänger kann kein schlechter Mensch sein. Denn auch ich bewundere das Schaffen und den musikalischen Output dieses Mannes bis auf höchste.
@ Andi: Ich weiß, dass man schnell auch in einer berufsfalle feststeckt. je nach Region und ob man eine Familie, etc hat, überlegt man es sich auch wahrscheinlich gar nicht erst, ob man happy mit seinem Job ist. Man ist wohl eher froh einen zu haben.
Dennoch ist es immer wieder schön zu sehen, dass Leute es schaffen in ihrem Job glücklich zu sein. Und voll und ganz darin aufgehen.
Was ich jedoch beobachten konnte, die meisten die ich kenne und richtig in ihrem Beruf aufgehen, haben keinen konventionellen Berufsweg eingeschlagen. Entweder sie haben sich das, wofür sie nun letztlich eingestellt wurden, selbst beigebracht oder aber sie haben ihre Idee in einem eigenen Business umgesetzt. Ein allgemein gültiges Rezept gibt es aber wohl nicht und es ist wohl wie du sagst… man muss auch eine Menge Glück haben.
