Neulich war Emi bei mir zum Essen. Emi ist Japanerin, schon recht viel in Europa gereist und lebt seit 2 Jahren in Melbourne.
Sie lobte neulich was ich kochte über alle Maßen. Es gab Gemüse – Lasagne und Salat. Wahrscheinlich lobte sie es so, weil sie es
zum ersten Mal aß. 
Sie fragte mich dann auch wie man das Dressing für den Salat mache, denn in Japan würde man es überwiegend fertig kaufen und in 99% der Fälle schmecke es nach Fisch.
Gestern berichtete sie mir nun davon, sie hätte auch Lasagne versucht zu machen und den Salat mit Dressing und Bocconcini.
Die Lasagne war wohl ein Desaster, aber der Salat super. Also sagte ich ihr sie solle mal statt Bocconcini Feta Käse verwenden, das wäre auch lecker. Die Antwort war ein fragender Blick. Was ist denn Feta? Und als ich weiter redete von Parmesan und Pesto und so weiter, war ihre Antwort nur: Stop! Was ist Feta? Was ist Pesto? Was ist Parmesan? Schmeckt Feta wie Lammfleisch?
Nun erklär mal jemandem, der das noch nie gegessen hat, wie das schmeckt. Ihre Frage, ob Feta wie Lammfleisch schmeckt, konnte ich nur mit dem Satz kommentieren: Nein, denn Kuhmilch schmeckt ja auch nicht wie ein Rinderbraten.
Wie man sieht, muss man bei Emi och einiges an Entwicklungsarbeit leisten. Und deswegen schreib ich ihr gerade ein paar Rezepte auf.
