Nun bin ich seit knapp 2 Monaten wieder in Melbourne. Ich genieße es hier zu sein. Ich genieße die Mentalität der Leute, das Wetter, den Strand, die Bars… Ja ich mag Melbourne, das lässt sich nicht leugnen und wer in den letzten Jahren hier mitgelesen hat weiss auch, dass mich die Stadt nie losgelassen hat.
Doch nun bin ich hier und was passiert gerade…
Ich vermisse Hamburg. Ja echt jetzt. Jahrelang sagte ich immer: “Hamburg und ich, das passt nicht”. Und nun? Ich habe Hamburg in mein Herz geschlossen. Ich vermisse das Sauwetter. Ich vermisse es die ersten Frühlingstage nun nicht mitzubekommen. Ich vermisse die Elbe, meine Freunde und meine alte Hood. Es tut schon ein wenig weh, das alles immer auf Instagram zu sehen und zu wissen, dass war es erst mal Fudge.
Und um ehrlich zu sein… ich vermisse mein berufliches Netzwerk. Ich hatte ganz vergessen, wie hart es am Anfang ist Kontakte in der Branche zu knüpfen. Herauszufinden wer, wie, was, wo und mit wem…
Ja ich glaube das fehlt mir am meisten. Ich weiss, ich bin zu ungeduldig. In Hamburg ging das auch nicht von heute auf morgen und brauchte einige Jahre. Aber ich will das jetzt gleich. Ich will jetzt gleich angekommen sein und praktisch dort einsteigen, wo ich in HH aufhörte. Geht natürlich nicht, das ist mir auch klar. Doch das Wissen darum, macht es dennoch nicht einfacher.
Und so schleppe ich mich heute wieder zu einem dieser Business-Networking Events. Ich mag sowas ja nicht so sehr. Man kennt noch niemanden. Muss semiinteressante Gespräche führen. Manchmal wird man von völlig uninteressanten Personen festgequatschet (Oh sorry, ich muss mal ganz dringend für Mädels. Bin gleich wieder da…#not).
Am Freitag werde ich zu einer völlig unchristlichen Zeit aufstehen und zu einem Social Web Breakfast (auch Business) in die Stadt gehen, in der Hoffnung auf Austausch und Kontakte.
Und manchmal… Ja manchmal hat man Glück. 1 out of 10 ist dann eine Person, von der man denkt, ja das passt. Und beim nächsten Event sitzt man wieder zusammen, oder trinkt zusammen ein Bierchen. Und irgendwann hat man eine ganze Gruppe an Leuten zusammen: sein Netzwerk. So in 4 Jahren etwa 
Wir werden sehen. Und nun muss ich wieder was arbeiten. Ich schiebe sowieso den ganzen Tag schon alles vor mir her.
