Dieses Wochenende wird vom 17. – 19. August im Saarland kräftig gefeiert! Der Grund ist der 50. Jahrestag des kleinen Bundeslandes.
Die Mehrheit von euch wird wohl wissen, dass Fudge in Melbourne wohnt, doch die wenigstens sind mit der Tatsache vertraut, dass Fudge aus dem wohl schönsten Bundesland Deutschlands kommt, dem Saarland!!!
Der 50. Geburtstag wird deswegen so gefeiert, weil :
Am 23. Oktober 1955 lehnt die saarländische Bevölkerung das zwischen Frankreich und der Bundesrepublik Deutschland vereinbarte Europäische Statut mit 67,7 Prozent der Stimmen ab. Am 1. Januar 1957 kommt es zur politischen Rückgliederung: Das Saarland wird 11. Bundesland der Bundesrepublik Deutschland; die wirtschaftliche Rückgliederung erfolgt am 6. Juli 1959.
