In Queensland herrscht zum Beispiel generelles Rauchverbot in der Öffentlichkeit. Dazu zählt nicht, auf der Straße rauchen, aber z.B. im Biergarten. Alkohol darf nicht auf der Straße getrunken werden, Pubs brauchen eine spezielle Lizenz, um Alkohol zu verkaufen und vor Pubs darf nur in speziell gekennzeichneten Areas Alkohol getrunken werden. Alles andere wird bestraft und ist ziemlich teuer!
So kommt es auch, dass man hier Straßenschilder findet mit den Hinweisen: “Alkoholkonsum in diesem Bereich nur in der Zeit von März bis Oktober erlaubt”.
Nun könnte man ja denken, dass der gemeine Australier weder trinkt noch raucht, doch spätestens nach der WM wissen es alle: Australier sind schlimmer als “Zewa Wisch&Weg”. Sie saugen den Alkohol geradezu durch die Poren in sich auf.
Um so verwunderlicher dass, eine für den 22. Dezember angesagte Party eines berüchtigten Clubs in Melbourne für Schlagzeilen sorgte. Geplant war: Alle Mädels die im Bikini kommen, erhalten freien Eintritt, kostenlosen Garderobenservice (für die Mäntel 
) und kostenlose Getränke bis zum Abwinken (auch Alkohol).
Diese Party wurde nun verboten!!!!
Der Grund:
Die Victoria Police und der Director of Liquor Licensing von Victoria gaben den Veranstalter in einer Anhörung eine Auffrischung über Responsible Serving of Alcohol. Dummerweise ist der Chief Commissioner die erste Frau in Australien, die diese Position innehat und der Director, die erste Frau in Victoria die Head of Liquor Licensing ist. Sowas nennt man Pech!
Nun heißt die Party nicht mehr Christmas Bikini Party, sondern Hawaiian Summer Party Night und Jungs und Mädels erhalten gleichermaßen jeweils 2! Freigetränke.
Und da sage noch jemand Deutschland sei nicht liberal!
