Vor einigen Wochen hatte ich ja bereits über Probleme mit dem Nacken geklagt (man erinnert sich vielleicht an die Wärmepflaster- Story). Nun, seit einigen Tagen habe ich das Gefühl, mein Nacken, Rücken und Kopf bringt mich fast um vor Schmerz. So sehr, dass ich heute morgen beschloss zum Arzt zu gehen.
Nach etwas Recherche in den Yellow Pages fand ich dann auch eine Klinik um die Ecke. Das St. Kilda South Medical Centre.
Ich erklärte dort mein Anliegen und man sagte mir ich solle in einer Stunde wieder kommen, dann hätte der Physiotherapeut einen Termin frei.
Als meine Zeit gekommen war, empfing mich ein wirklich gut aussehender junger Mann. Der Herr Raoul Gomes!!! 
Normaler Weise plappere ich ja munter vor mich hin, auch in Englisch. Doch dieses Mal war ich erstaunlich still, was nicht am hübschen Spanier lag 
Vielmehr hatte ich vorher nicht gecheckt welche Vokabeln vielleicht wichtig zu wissen wären, wenn ich versuche zu erklären was und wo und wie es weh tut. Und mein medizinisches Englisch beschränkt sich gerade mal auf “cough”, “flu”, “constipation” und “diarrhoea”. Also nix was hilft wenn die Wirbel knirschen.
Dafür gab ich dann bei der Behandlung um so mehr Töne von mir. Töne des Leides und des Schmerzes.
Des Peines Ursache ist wohl ein Muskel, der auf einen Nerv drückt, der auch die leichte Taubheit in meinem linken Arm erklärt. Nach der Behandlung konnte ich zumindest meinen Kopf ein wenig besser bewegen. Weh tat es aber trotzdem noch. Herr Raoul Gomes (den Namen muss man sich mal auf der Zunge zergehen lassen) meinte hierzu nur: “Well, you still have to take your drugs!” Na das lasse ich mir doch nicht zweimal sagen, auch wenn er nur die Painkiller meinte *lach*
Und am Montag heißt es dann wieder ” Guten Tag Herr Gomes” für mich!
