Seven days left…

…until I wear my thongs (Flip FLops) again.

With the beginning of my “OZ – Adventure” next week, I’ll write my blogs in english (uhhh how cosmopolitan). It’s kind of a try to improve it, especially the grammar and spelling. Yeah I now it’s a moot question, whether I can stick to that plan. There could be busy days or days of laziness or just days… And in that case I will certainly use my mother tongue. And ok, I guess these days could be the majorty :-D

My biggest adventure that I’ve planned for my first days in Melbourne this time will be (and please don’t laugh!!!) to go to a hairdresser. I know that sounds crazy. ;-) But it’s honestly more difficult than you might expect. I have to tell him/her how I want to have dyed my hair. And I’m not talking just about the coulor. I’m used to have that little foil things in my hair to get some highlights, but I don’t know how it’s called. And I have to explain to him/her that I wanna have a haircut for curled and straightened hair. I mean it’s even hard to tell in german. And what if the result is really crap?
Lot’s of thoughts for this time of day. I’d better go to bed. I get back to you tomorrow.
Und morgen gehts dann bis nächste Woche noch in “verständlicher” Sprache weiter.

once, i was at a cutter in new york. a chinese cutter. awful! it’s almost as hard as ordering food from a chinese restaurant, if you know what i mean.

I´ve once been to a cutter in Bavaria. The cutting stuff took about 45 minutes, the cutter himself talked all the time and I didn´t understand a word. But I really liked the haircut.

Anyway, regarding the little highlighting foil things: Just ask the hairdresser to show you everything he has in his saloon and then say: “I want THIS in my hair.”

    Or something like that.
