Fudge sitzt mal wieder in ihre Lieblingscafe. Bloggt munter vor sich hin, genießt das kostenlose WiFi und erfreut sich an der Happy Hour!
Es ist herrliches Wetter, von den kleinen Regenschauern zwischendurch einmal abgesehen und ich genieße es mit, meinem nun bereits dritten, Gin & Tonic. ie gesagt, es ist Happy Hour, das muss man nutzen! 
Gestern ging ich nach getaner Arbeit, hinunter zum Strand. Es war herrliches Wetter und ich wollte bei einem riesen Eisbecher, den Sonnenuntergang fotografieren. Den Eisbecher hatte ich auch in der Hand, die Kamera war in der Handtasche, nur aus den Bilden wurde nichts. Schuld daran, waren SIE! Denn SIE sind wieder da!!!
SIE sind die wohl größte heimische Population Australiens. SIE, sind die Fliegen (oder auch Mücken, wie man sie auch nennen mag).
Weitaus nerviger, als in deutschen Landen, setzten sie sich bevorzugt, irgendwo in dein Gesicht. Sie sind hartnäckig und lassen sich auch nicht von einer Handbewegung verscheuchen. Tut man nichts gegen sie, hat man in Sekundenschnelle mindestens 30 von ihnen auf sich sitzen.
Sie flogen überall gestern. Alle Spaziergänger liefen mit fuchtelnden Armen durch die Gegend. In den Restaurants, saßen fast alle und wedelten mit ihren Händen vorm Gesicht herum. NERVIG, sag ich euch.
So konnte ich auch nicht in aller Ruhe und Gemütlichkeit mein Eis am Strand essen. Ich habe mich so schnell es ging, Richtung Heimat bewegt, wo SIE dann nach und nach immer weniger wurden. Zum Glück!
Diese fuchtelnde Bewegung wegen der Mücken, ist typisch für Australien und hat ihr deswegen sogar einen eigenen Namen eingebracht.
Man nennt es den Bushwink oder auch den australischen Gruß.
Nur eines hilft gegen die Mücken….Wind. Geht Wind, bleiben sie dir fern!!!

Wenigstens scheint es bei dir zu Hause nicht so schlimm zu sein. Hier in Münster sind mittlerweile alle Mücken und Fliegen gestorben. Einfach zu kalt 
Was würd ich geben für 36° und ein paar Stechmücken die eh fast nicht an mich gehen.
