Obwohl ich ja nun schon ein Weilchen in Melbourne lebe und auch schon einige Male zum Arzt musste, war ich hier noch nie beim Frauenarzt.
Ich warte immer, bis ich wieder in Deutschland bin und gehe dann zu den Routineuntersuchungen und zum Rezepte holen. Denn ob ich nun hier zahle oder in Deutschland ist eigentlich egal. Hinzu kommt, das es das bestimmte “Medikament”, weswegen ich immer zum Frauenarzt gehe, bis vor wenigen Monaten in Australien nicht gab. *Ich schreibe hier Namen und so lieber nicht aus, wegen der Suchbegriffe…lach*
Und auch meine Freundinnen hier – aus Japan, Neukaledonien, Brazilien… – waren hier nie beim Frauenarzt. Man erledigt das bei einem Heimatbesuch und lässt sich ansonsten alles per Post schicken. So kommt es, dass ich bislang keinerlei Vergleichsmöglichkeiten auf diesem Gebiet hatte.
Die junge Dame, die uns am Sonntag netterweise ins Auto fuhr, ist nun zufälligerweise eine Frauenärztin. Sie sah nett aus und ihre Praxis ist auch nicht weit von meiner Wohnung weg… Ich kam ins Grübeln, ob ich nicht doch einmal hier zur Ärztin gehen sollte.
Ich grübelte genau zwei Tag. Dies war nämlich die Zeit, bis ich eine Bekannte zum Kaffee traf. Und sie erzählte mir von ihrem Gynäkologen Besuch vor einer Woche.
Ok, ich weiß nicht, ob die Darstellung für alle Frauenärzte hier zutrifft, aber scheinbar nahm sich besagte Gynäkologin sehr viel Zeit für meine Bekannte.
Soweit so gut…
Doch dann kam es zur Untersuchung. Und stellt euch vor, sie musste sich ganz ausziehen! GANZ! Und ein Kittelchen anziehen. Zur Info für alle Jungs: Das ist in Deutschland nicht der Fall! Glaubt mir! *grins*
Meine Bekannte wusste das mit dem Kittelchen auch nicht und kam auch promt wie Gott sie schuf aus der Umkleidekabine… *grins* Nun ja, es war wohl auch keine richtige Umkleidekabine, sagte sie… eher ein großes Bücherregal.
Und der weitere Schock für mich… sie sagte, es gab nur eine Liege. Nicht besagten Stuhl. Ich weiß gar nicht, wie das auf einer Liege gehen soll???
Für mich hat sich dieses Thema nun erst einmal erledigt. Ich werde mich definitiv nicht in einen Kittel hüllen.
Ich glaube nicht, dass dies der Standard ist. Denn bei Ärzten in Australien gilt oft die Devise “wer mehr will, zahlt auch mehr”. Und es mag oberflächlich klingen, aber ein Arzt hat meiner Meinung nach nicht nur Fachwissen zu haben, sondern auch eine für mich ansprechende Praxis. Aber will ich deswegen natürlich nicht mehr zahlen… nein 
Nein, ich bin verwöhnt vom deutschen Gesundheitssystem, mit dem ich aufgewachsen bin. Da warte ich doch lieber, bis ich wieder in Deutschland bin und zu meinem kleinen japanischen Frauenarzt kann. Ich verstehe zwar nur die Hälfte von dem was er mir sagt, aber die Praxis schaut gut aus und er hat einen Stuhl! *lach* Und es gibt Kaffee!!
Seht ihr, Deutschland ist gar nicht so schlecht, wie alle glauben.
