2011 ist es soweit. Dann fällt ein riesen Schuldenberg auf mich drauf. In diesem Jahr wird nämlich die erste Zahlung meiner BAföG Rückzahlung fällig.
Entweder ich verdiene bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt so viel Asche, dass ich den ausstehenden Betrag in einer Summe zahlen kann (äußerst utopisch!!!) oder aber ich gewinne vorher noch schnell im Lotto (etwas wahrscheinlicher!).
Wir reden hier von einem hübschen Sümmchen, das sich durch meine Studienzeit ansammelte. Wir reden von vier Jahren staatlicher Unterstützung. Insgesamt komme ich damit auf einen Betrag von (ca.) 27.840 Euro!!!
Ich meine irgendwann mal in den Unterlagen gelesen zu haben, dass ich maximal nur 20.000 Euro zurückzahlen müsste, was noch verringert werden könnte, wenn ich zu den Besten meines Abschlussjahres gehören würde. Aber da ich meine Zeit lieber in der Mensa, als bei Vorlesungen verbrachte, stand dies bereits nach dem 1. Semester völlig außer Frage auch nur daran zu denken!! 
Ja ich war schon immer mehr der Socialiser als ein Streber… leider.
Also ab 2011muss ich 20.000 Euro in monatlichen Raten zahlen. Eine ganz schöne Summe. Mal angenommen, ich würde monatlich 250 EUR zurückzahlen, dann bräuchte ich 6,6 Jahre dazu (BAföG ist zinsfrei!) *schluck*
Doch ich habe einen ausgefuchsten Plan!!!!
Als ich nach Melbourne zog, musste ich in Deutschland meinen Wohnsitz abmelden. Dort fragte oder notierte allerdings niemand wo man mich ansonsten finden könnte. Kein Witz und hat mich damals auch sehr verwundert.
Also weiß niemand (außer Freunde, Bekannte, dem halben Internet, der Familie…) wo ich bin *lach*
Ich könnte ja nun meine Spuren noch weiter verwischen und z.B. nach…nach Fidschi ziehen. Oder nach Vanuatu oder nach Neukaledonien. Ok vergesst letzteres, mein Französisch ist ziemlich schlecht.. 
Aber machbar wäre es! Ich könnte dem BAföG entfliehen. Doof nur, dass ich dann nie nach Deutschland zurückkehren könnte… Nie mehr Wagner Pizza, nie wieder Dominosteine zu Weihnachten, nie wieder Weihnachtsmärkte, nie wieder meine Mutter (oh Moment… )
Naaaa, ich glaube ich zahle dann doch lieber. Vielleicht gewinne ich ja vorher doch noch im Lotto, oder eine Bombe fällt auf das zentrale Verwaltungsgebäude in dem die BAföG Unterlagen untergebracht sind. *hüstel*
Nachtrag:
Nachdem ich diesen Post geschrieben hatte, googelte ich ein wenig und fand folgende Info:
- Sofern das Studium am 01.03.2001 oder später aufgenommen wurde (triift bei mir zu), ist die Darlehensschuld auf maximal 10.000 Euro begrenzt.
- Die Rückzahlung beginnt 5 Jahre nach Ende der Förderungshöchstdauer (bei Bachelor/Master bezogen auf den Bachelor!). Sie erfolgt in vierteljährlichen Raten in Höhe von mindestens 315 Euro
Ok, also keine 20.000 Euro sondern nur 10.000. Mir fällt ein rieiieieieieisen Stein vom Herzen! Wirklich!
Allerdings musste ich auch lesen, dass ich meldepflichtig bin und mitzuteilen habe, wenn sich mein Wohnsitz ändert *hüstel* Sollte ich wohl mal machen.
Besser ist es sich zu melden, denn irgendwann kommst Du bestimmt noch mal nach Deutschland und dann schicken die Dir “Moskau Inkasso” auf den Hals!

Wir stehen hier auch vor dem Problem “student loan” oder nicht. Nur müßte Töchterlein nur dann den “student loan” zurückzahlen, wenn sie eine bestimmte Summe verdient u. dann nur 25 Pfund im Monat. Das geht ja noch!
Gibt’s da nicht so Ermäßigungen, wenn man das auf einmal zurückzahlen kann? Ich glaube manche nehmen sogar Kredite auf, weil sie dadurch dann die Hälfte des Bafögs sparen, oder so (weil sie es quasi in einem Batzen zurückzahlen).
Im Studium fand ich’s doof, jetzt bin ich aber doch froh, kein Bafög bewilligt bekommen zu haben.
Der Mist blieb mir Gott sei Dank erspart, da ich nebenher immer arbeitete. Man studiert jahrelang und ist dadurch vom Arbeitsmarkt ferngehalten und sobald man dann ein viel zu geringes Gehalt bezieht, muss man jahrelang zurückzahlen.
