Ja ihr lest richtig! Hier in Melbourne, oder besser gesagt in Dandenong *Eine Zugstunde von hier entfernt und somit im tiefsten Hinterland*, findet an diesem Wochenende ein Oktoberfest statt. Gesponsert von Bitburger *hüstel*, gibt es Semmelknödel, Currywurst, Schwarzwälderkirsch Torte, und, und, und!!!
Ich bin schon irre gespannt, was da auf mich zukommt. Das Programm verspricht folgendes:
- Traditional Bavarian folk music with the Oompa
- German choir singing typical German folk songs (Volkslieder)
- Jodeln (you will see and try)
- Original and authentic Bavarian/German folk dancing (Volkstanz) including Schuhplatteln (dancing and music with leather pants and shoes), Glocken (cowbell ringers) and Goaßlschnalzer (music with whips/lashes)
- You can also see traditional Bavarian and German dressing (Trachten) like the Lederhosen (leather pants) and Dirndl (typical dress for women)
- Furthermore we will teach you some Bavarian and German language in typical dialects
