Wie bereits berichtet, habe ich gestern den Christmas Run hinter mich gebracht.
Es war ein schönes Lauf-Event, sehr familiär, schön organisiert. Klein, übersichtlich und perfektes Laufwetter.
Lange Anstehen an der Startnummernvergabe gab es nicht und ein etwas nerviger Moderater versorgte alle Laufbegeisterten vor Rennbeginn permanent mit den notwendigen Infos. (Wenn auch in einem teils unverständlichen Aussie-Akzent 
)
Nachdem ich mir meine Nummer (1069) angeheftet hatte, schaute ich dem Aufwärm-Aerobic zu und dann ging es auch schon an den Start. Es gab einen 5km und 10km Lauf. Ich hatte mich zum 5er entschlossen, da der 10er langweilig war, da man die selbe Strecke 2x lief.
Ich stellte mich extra schon recht weit nach hinten, um dem Gedränge zu entgehen, doch der erste Kilometer war recht nervig. Ständiges ausweichen, langsam machen weil die Strecke recht schmal war und es kein Vorbeikommen gab…. Das drosselt ein wenig die Geschwindigkeit. Ich ging es aber generell langsam an, um wie ich mir dachte am Ende Gas zu geben.
Viele Läufer die zu Beginn Tempo machten brachen später auch ein und mussten gehen (hähä 
) Ich hängte mich hier und da an ein paar Läufer und hörte zu was die zu quatschen hatten.
Nur gegen Ende passierte mir dann ein kleines Missgeschick. Trabte ich doch munter vor mich hin und wollte den letzten Kilometer Gas geben, stellte ich doch plötzlich fest, dass der Zieleinlauf direkt vor meiner Nase war. So war es also nix mit dem Fudge-Endsprint um eine coole Zeit zu laufen. Aber egal. Spaß hat es trotzdem gemacht und unterwegs habe ich sogar einen Pelikan im See entdeckt. Und das Beste, ich hab sogar einen 50$ Gutschein für FILA gewonnen.
Zur Belohnung gönnte ich mir vor Ort noch ein Würstchen vom BBQ.
