Seit Wochen war in Melbourne kein richtiger Sommer mehr, doch seit dem Wochenende ist er zurück. 34 Grad, Sonnenschein, alle stürmen die Straßencafes, man sieht wieder mehr nackte Haut und der Strand ruft laut den Wellengesang!
Bereits gestern war ich zwei Stündchen am Strand und wunderte mich wieder darüber, wie selten ich doch eigentlich hier bin. Und das obwohl ich nur 10 min. Fußweg zum Strand habe. Ein Frevel, nicht wahr? Das dachte ich mir gestern denn auch und kam zu dem Entschluss, dass ich wann immer es geht, nun ein wenig Zeit am Strand verbringe. Meine Beine in die Sonne strecke, in den Wellen plansche und gemütlich ein wenig abhängen werde.
Gesagt getan. Heute waren es wieder 34 Grad und nach getaner Arbeit ging Fudge zum Strand. Allerdings nicht zu meinem Haus- und Hofstrand, da dieser bei solchem Wetter sehr stark mit Touris beladen ist. Und offen gesagt mag ich das nicht so. Also ging es Richtung Port Melbourne an den Strand (ist auch nur 30 min Fußweg weit weg).
Der Strand war sehr leer. Vielleicht eine Handvoll Leute.
Ich breitete mein Handtuch aus und schwupps war ich auch schon im Wasser. Und dann sah ich sie auch schon. Ihhhh! Große blaue(!) Quallen. Nun weiß ich ja auch nicht, ob dieses hier gefährlich sind. Eine ältere Frau, die sich ebenfalls gerade im Wasser befand meinte nur: “Just don’t accidentally step on them. Could be a bit painful.” Sagt doch alles, oder? ;-D
Dennoch, das Wasser war angenehm kühl und erfrischend. Genau was ich brauchte!
Zurück auf meinem Handtuch begann ich den Versuch in meinem Buch zu lesen. Doch ich sage euch, ich hatte keine Chance.
Meine Augen wurden ständig von muskulösen, nackten Oberkörpern abgelenkt, die an mir vorbei joggten. Da soll man sich mal auf sein Buch konzentrieren. Einer der Jogger war besonders hartnäckig und bewies ausgesprochene Kondition (und einen phantastischen Oberkörper!!!!!). Ich gab ihm den Namen Sporty Spice. Er joggte immer wieder den Strand auf und ab!
Nun ist dieser Teil des Strandes nicht gerade kurz. *Für alle in Melbourne wohnenden: Er joggte von den Kite Surfern unten in St Kilda, bis fast hoch zur Spirit of Tasmania in Port Melbourne* Ich schätze diesen Weg ist er locker 5 Mal gelaufen. Und das im Sand!!! Kein Wunder, dass ich ihm also diesen Namen gab. *gg* Hach, es war eine wahre Pracht ihm zuzusehen.
Doch ich bin ja schon still, sonst bekommen meine männlichen Leser hier noch Minderwertigkeitskomplexe. 
Morgen soll es noch ein letztes Mal so heiß werden, bevor es am Mittwoch wieder stark bergab geht mit den Temperaturen und der Regen folgt. Für mich bedeutet das, dass man mich morgen wieder ein bis zwei Stündchen am Strand finden wird. Ich mache euch dann auch ein paar Fotos. Vielleicht kann ich euch ja die Quallen mal zeigen. *Und euch ein wenig mit Strandbildern neidisch machen…*

Bei uns kommt ja auch bald wieder die Zeit der hübschen, knackigen und knapp bekleideten Girls.
Es gleicht sich halt alles aus!

Das kenne ich. Ich bin auch viel zu selten am Strand, dafür, dass ich ihn hier fast vor der Haustür habe.

hier ist zur zeit auch geniales wetter. wie zwar schon geschrieben schweinekalt, aber dafür wunderschön zum geniessen. geniess du dein tolles wetter am strand, ich werde meinen freien tag morgen bei praller sonne im stall und auf dem pferd geniessen :o)
ich war die letzten vier tage an der ostsee und bereits gestern war da richtiges scheißwetter. grauer himmel, schweinekalt und total windig. heute noch mit nieselregen. wäh. hätte auch gern wieder richtig tolles strandwetter.
