Während ich so da stand, kam ein Jüngling auf mich zu und sagte er hätte nicht mehr genug Geld für ein Zugticket, ob ich ihm vielleicht 50 Cent schenken könnte. Die Australier sind in solchen Fällen immer sehr gebefreudig und so wollte ich mich dieser Tradition nicht verweigern. Er fragte ja auch nett und freute sich sehr über meine Hilfe.
Kurz darauf kam eine etwas zottelige Frau an und erzählte mir sie hätte versehentlich 2x die falsche Fahrkarte gelöst und hätte nun nicht mehr genug für das richtige Ticket. Auch sie fragte mich nach ein paar Cent. Ich fragte sie ob sie nicht ihre Tickets umtauschen könnte, was sie verneinte. Meine nächste Frage, wie es denn käme, dass sie 2x das falsche Ticket löste, wurde nur grummelnd beantwortet. Selbst wenn ich noch ein paar Groschen gehabt hätte, was nun nicht mehr der Fall war, kam mir ihr Anliegen doch sehr merkwürdig vor. Ganz so unhöflich wollte ich dann aber doch nicht sein und bot ihr wenigstens ein Zigarette an. Sie schaute meine Kippen nur an und meinte auf diese ekelhafte Sorte verzichte sie lieber und dann spuckte sie neben mir auf den Boden. (HÄ?)
Man glaubt es kaum, aber nach nur wenigen Minuten schnorrte mich der nächste an. Ein wenig angesäuert grummelte ich daraufhin nur noch eine unverständliche Antwort vor mich hin.
Zum Glück kamen dann bald die Mädels, sonst wäre ich entweder arm oder völlig entnervt gewesen.
